  1. Accredited Undergraduate Medicine Degree or Postgraduate Medicine Degree
  2. General Medical Registration
  3. In order to undertake vocational training, prospective students must complete the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Basic Physician Training, including successful completion of the RACP Written and Clinical Examinations.
  4. Six years of full-time vocational training, including three years of Basic Medical training and three years of Advanced, Specialised training

Cardiothoracic Surgeons are concerned with surgical diagnosis, treatment and management of intrathoracic (within the thorax) abnormalities and diseases. They are primarily concerned with surgical procedures involving the heart, lungs, and main arteries and vessels.

  1. Accredited Undergraduate Medicine Degree or Postgraduate Medicine Degree
  2. General Medical Registration
  3. In order to undertake training, prospective students must complete the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) Basic Physician Training, including successful completion of the RACP Written and Clinical Examinations.
  4. Six years of full-time, including one year of Basic training and five years of full-time Cardiothoracic Surgery training.

Respiratory Medicine Professionals are concerned with researching, diagnosing, preventing, treating and managing diseases of the respiratory system, including the lungs, upper airway, and ventilatory and circulation systems.

Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Medicine Professionals are Respiratory Medicine Professionals who specialise in sleep respiration and other sleep disorders.
